I can start with what happened the entire day.
Well, woke up rather early today (6:15 is early for me). The prospect of going to school dulls me,
showing I suffer from post-holiday trauma, argh. After eating, I proceeded to entering class, and my face lit with happiness when I saw ewald there. Lol, that alien though annoying, just makes me smile.
It started off rather dull and monotonous, and I felt enlightened when there wasn't any level assembly, but was enraged (0.0) when my chinese teacher taught PCME for 2 whole lessons about London bombing, geez, that was a long day.
Then came the maths period. It was as usual, very funny. What made it rather unique was that there was another teacher observing Mr. Toh doing his usual "scamming for pleasure" exercise and thorough explaination, bet she was impressed.
And I volunteered to help give instructions on the amusing picture drawn by Mr. Toh. I explained it in a satisfactory manner, but was rather dumb. I incoporated chinese and english for explanation XD Mr. Toh purposely scammed us, but he showed us one thing, his drawing. So nice that no one can draw it out properly 0.0
LEP was boring, I struggled to stay awake, however, I felt it was enriching and gave me some ideas on how to analyze 武侠小说.
I borrowed a chess book, that was the thickest in the library. It is the thickest amongst all chess tutorial books ever published, and comprises of 5331 combinations and games. It is an asset, and written by Laszlo polgar, sister of the greatest female chess player in history. Omg, i admire her XD
Well playing chess now, and I won one 1600 + player and a 1501 player, good improvement!
Language in music
A new kind of research has been done recently, and people have figured out that a portion in the brain of humans responds to music. This distinguishes humans from other species on Earth as they are unable to recognize the language in music such as ourselves.
Linguistic and musical language have been found to overlap in normal brains and found in the broca's area. People who are unable to recognize simple musical harmony (Dont worry, it's like distinguishing an E to a G#).
Aphasia (language disorder where the patient has an impairment in their grammer) without amusia (cannot identity basic music chords). All people who had this sickness are all musicians, professional conductors. This proves that music alters the brain, they have more grey matter in their minds too, usually in motoractive areas. Most people with aphasia have low level pitch recognition.
This proves that language and music have much in common. So music is like another language. Hope you enjoyed this new information, you may feedback anything on the site :)
